The ASO Address Council is comprised of three members from each RIR. The LACNIC community elects two members, while one member is appointed by the LACNIC Board of Directors. The members elected by the community each serve a three-year term, perform their duties in a voluntary (non-remunerated) capacity, and may be re-elected, provided they meet the established eligibility criteria.
ASO AC members participate in the global number resource policy development process, advise the ICANN Board on addressing policies, provide recommendations concerning the recognition of new RIRs, and appoint representatives to the ICANN Board.
