It applies to LACNIC's registration services, as well as to any access to this website and/or any other website managed by LACNIC, including any registration to events and/or courses. If you do not agree with these terms, please refrain from using, browsing and/or interacting with LACNIC.

1. General Principles

LACNIC: a) obtains data for legal purposes and/or with the consent of the data subject (when applicable); b) stores data with adequate protections in place for their integrity and confidentiality; c) maintains the data for the time required for the purpose they were obtained; d) will make reasonable efforts to correct or delete incorrect data, provided this is possible; e) will request its agents and/or contractors to adhere to these principles.

In those cases where user data are published but no contractual relationship exists and/or there is no public interest or purpose to consider, users will be asked to enter their personal data and give their explicit consent for such data to be treated and processed by LACNIC.

Likewise, they may also be used to improve our services or the support we provide our members and/or customers.

a) Due to the inherent nature of a service: many of the services offered by LACNIC consist of registration services or participation in policy forums which, because of their inherent nature, require publishing the information publicly and/or to a specific community; b) With your explicit consent; c) With suppliers, consultants or other service providers, when required for the fulfillment of the service; d) For legal purposes, when an administrative, regulatory and/or judicial authority requires us to provide such information, provided LACNIC understands that it is being requested in accordance with applicable legal regulations in force and/or considers that some of LACNIC's agreements and/or service policies have been violated.

4. Data Preservation

LACNIC shall keep personal data for the time necessary to carry out the activity that motivated their collection, bearing in mind that LACNIC must keep historical data of changes to the registration service.

Data will be deleted from all systems when it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was submitted and its preservation is not required or allowed by any legal provision.

LACNIC shall treat your data in full compliance with applicable regulations and in accordance with these policies. At no time will your personal data be used for activities other than those you consented to unless you explicitly authorize us to do so.
