Question: How can IPv6 be adopted in big data and business intelligence?

Answer:

Thanks for the question, Daniel.

My answer to the question “How can IPv6 be adopted in big data and business intelligence?” is that there are endless possibilities for using or adopting IPv6 as a direct source of data to provide large volumes of information for all kinds of business models and use cases. The data generated or made possible by IPv6 is essential for business intelligence in all industries. Given the technical characteristics of IPv6 and the need for IP addresses for the development of 4RI technologies such as IoT, AI, automation and others, IPv6 turns data into an element of identification, geolocation and even personal data. All devices that have connectivity require IPv6, which means that this information can also be used in business intelligence. Today, IPv6 can be associated with browsing habits and the consumption of services and applications. IPv6 is truly a necessity when it comes to driving business intelligence through big data, as it provides universal identifiers that facilitate and allow scaling the collection of data associated with communications, personal data, use of all types of services, market segments, behaviors, sensors, and so on.

Sincerely, Rafael Sandoval
