Elections for the LACNIC Technical Forum Program Committee

According to the 2018 Election of Community Representatives to the LACNIC Technical Forum Program Committee:
Fernando Gont and Mariela Rocha will be part of the program committee for two years (June 2018 to June 2020).
Jordi Palet Martínez will be part of the program committee for one year (June 2018 to June 2019).

The first election will be held in 2018, after the conclusion of the first LACNIC event. The following criteria will be adopted for the first election to renew members of the committee (June 2018):
The two most voted candidates will serve in their positions for a full term (June 2018 to June 2020).
The third most voted candidate will serve in their position for a period of one year (June 2018 to June 2019).
In June 2019, elections will be held to fill one (1) position on the Program Committee.
In June 2020, elections will be held to fill two (2) positions on the Program Committee.

Election Procedure:
The voters registry will be comprised of the subscribers to the three mailing lists:
- IPv6: https://mail.lacnic.net/mailman/listinfo/lactf
- Security: https://mail.lacnic.net/mailman/listinfo/seguridad
- Interconnection: https://mail.lacnic.net/mailman/listinfo/napla
When only one position is up for renewal, one (1) candidate may be voted. The winning candidate will be the one who receives the highest number of votes.
If N candidates were to receive the same number of votes, a second voting round will be held between these N candidates.
When two positions are up for renewal, up to (2) candidates may be voted. The winning candidates will be the two most voted.

Nominations must be submitted to any of the three mailing lists: IPv6 (lactf@lacnic.net), Security (seguridad@lacnic.net), Interconnection (napla@lacnic.net) and must contain the following information:
- Name of the candidate
- Candidate's email address
- Name of the person nominating the candidate
- Biography and/or additional information (optional)
The election will be held according to the following calendar:
- 5 June 2018 – Call for elections is announced
- 5 June 2018 - 12 June 2018 – Candidate nomination period
- 12 June 2018 at 20:00 UTC – Voters registry closes
- 13 June 2018 – Nominated candidates are announced
- 15/06/2018 - 25/06/2018 at 13:00 UTC – Voting period
- 26 June 2018 – Results are announced
