Oscar Alejandro Robles Garay

Oscar Robles served as Executive Director of LACNIC from 2015 to October 2024, leading the organization through a period of growth and consolidation in the management of Internet number resources in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Before joining LACNIC, he spent over two decades shaping the domain name ecosystem at NIC Mexico, the organization responsible for managing the .MX top-level domain. His vision and leadership led him to co-found LACNIC and LACTLD (the Latin American and Caribbean ccTLD Association), and to become one of the main drivers of the .LAT regional domain.

Since 1995, he has worked in key areas of Internet governance, IP address management, and domain administration, actively participating in the creation of ICANN and the development of multiple regional structures related to the Internet. His career has been instrumental in the evolution of the multistakeholder governance model in the region.
