FORT Project

The FORT Project is an initiative of LACNIC and NIC.MX that seeks to promote RPKI deployment as a way to increase routing security and resilience.

FORT makes available routing incident information to show how routing system vulnerabilities can affect end users’ ability to enjoy a free and open Internet.

The project has three products:

• FORT Validator: An open source RPKI validator.
• FORT Monitor: A tool that monitors the status of routing security in Latin America and the Caribbean and presents information on routing incidents in the region.
• FORT Report: An analysis of the routing incidents and route hijacks that occurred in Latin America and the Caribbean between 2017 and 2019.
