LACNIC Launches an Intra-Regional IPv4 Transfer Service

March 13, 2018

Seeking to provide the Latin American and Caribbean community with relevant information that will simplify IPv4 transfers, LACNIC now offers a section with contact information for those organizations interested in either transferring or receiving IPv4 addresses.

This service is available on the MI LACNIC  portal and provides the following information:

  • A list of organizations willing to transfer IPv4 blocks (Offering Organizations)
  • A list of organizations wishing to receive IPv4 blocks (Receiving Organizations)
  • A list of organizations willing to serve as facilitators between Offering and Receiving organizations

Policy 2.3.2.18 approved and included in the Policy Manual in 2016 allows transferring IPv4 blocks between ISPs and/or end users in the LACNIC service region.

To access this service of the MI LACNIC portal it is first necessary to apply as an Offering, Receiving or Facilitator Organization at the following link, after which LACNIC must validate the request before adding it to the list.
