Testing Analyst

LACNIC, the Internet Address Registry for Latin America and the Caribbean, invites qualified candidates to apply for the position.
LACNIC is an international, non-government organization based in Montevideo, Uruguay. It is responsible for assigning and managing Internet number resources for the region of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Its mission is to lead the creation of synergies and initiatives for the construction of an open, stable and secure Internet at the service of the economic, social and cultural development of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Goal of the Position

To test and evaluate software applications and systems developed by LACNIC.

Main Responsibilities

• Developing, documenting and automating application testing plans, based on specific software requirements and technical specifications.
• Recording and documenting test results and comparing them with expected results.
• Detecting software bugs so they can be fixed.
• Analyzing test result trends and produce  reports based on historical data.
• Running and analyzing code in multiple environments.

Qualifications

Systems Engineer or advanced Systems Engineering student (required). Knowledge of Java and Junit (required). A testing certification will be considered a plus. ISTQB, CAT, Scrum Master, or TMMi

Experience

At least one year of experience performing similar tasks.

Languages

Fluent in English (required)
Portuguese (considered a plus)

Willingness to relocate to Montevideo, Uruguay
Availability to travel abroad.
