Ernesto Majó
Ernesto Majó is currently the Executive Director/CEO of LACNIC, a role he assumed in 2024. From 2015 until his current appointment, he served as Deputy Executive Director, where he played a key role in strengthening the institution and consolidating strategic relationships. Throughout this period, he was instrumental in managing communications with stakeholders and in articulating alliances and cooperation projects, promoting the development of the LACNIC community in the region.
Prior to his position as Deputy Executive Director, Ernesto held other leadership roles within LACNIC, including his time as the first Coordinator of the FRIDA Program, and his work as Interim Executive Director from June 2014 to February 2015. Prior to joining LACNIC, Ernesto held positions of responsibility in technology transfer and research organizations in the Uruguayan agricultural sector. He also served as consultant to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the IDB.
