LACNIC Opens Call for Proposals for the 4th Edition of the Líderes Program

LACNIC's Líderes Program  announces that the call for proposals for the fourth edition of its initiative to fund and mentor research projects on Internet Governance issues in Latin America and the Caribbean is now open.

Líderes will continue to provide key support to researchers in local communities to study topics with local impact and a local perspective under a grant and mentorship format and will amplify knowledge of such issues throughout the region and even around the world.

This year, the program will support research in the following thematic categories:

  • Internet for All: Inclusion and Impact on Human Rights
  • Cybersecurity and Cybercrime
  • Risks of Internet Fragmentation
  • Models for Internet Public Policy Formulation
  • Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies

Selected proposals will receive US$1,500 in funding, will be supported by a mentor knowledgeable about global Internet governance issues, and will have a period of three months to complete their research project.

Proposals will be accepted until 21 July.
