Javiera Atenas

Biography

Javiera Atenas has a PhD in Education and is a Senior Lecturer at the Center for Excellence in Teaching at the University of Suffolk. She is also principal researcher at ILDA and Senior Fellow of the British Academy of Higher Education. Javiera has a long career as a lecturer and researcher on topics related to openness to knowledge and has worked in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, where she has served as an advisor to governments, international organizations and universities on policy issues and the development of curricula for education, science and open data. She currently collaborates with the UNESCO Open Education Team on open education policy development issues.
