LACNIC has presented a study on network interconnection in Latin America and the Caribbean in 2020.

The study was conducted by RIPE NCC Software Engineer Agustin Formoso with the support of LACNIC researchers Elisa Peirano and Guillermo Cicileo and was designed to provide Internet operators with information that would be useful for their growth strategies as well as to compare the latency results obtained for the different countries in the LAC region against 2016 and 2017.

The study showed significant improvements in the measurements of an important group of countries, as well as progress among autonomous systems.
