More Training Opportunities at LACNIC 34 LACNOG 2020
Registration for LACNIC 34 LACNOG 2020 is now open. The event is set to take place online from 2 to 9 October and will include major new additions and a range of training tutorials. The meeting will add an extra day to the typically week-long LACNIC LACNOG events, as it will begin on Friday 2 October. This will allow incorporating more tutorials and offering top-level training on the latest trends in Internet infrastructure technology.
The program includes training tutorials on network operation in IPv6, routing security, resource certification, interconnection, network management, and domain name system security. It also includes a meeting for security incident response teams working in Latin America and the Caribbean.
A panel has also been added on the challenges faced by Internet infrastructure operators across the region during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a conference on LACNIC's FRIDA Program, a special session by IT Women, and the Public Policy Forum, a space where LACNIC members and other members of the community come together to discuss the policies that determine how LACNIC manages Internet resources for the region.
LACNOG, the Latin American and Caribbean Network Operators Forum, will celebrate its tenth anniversary during the meeting, with presentations on topics such as success stories in network operation, the Internet of Things, community networks, IPv6 deployment, Internet architecture, value-added services, traffic exchange, and other relevant issues.
Simultaneous transcription and interpretation in Spanish, English and Portuguese will be provided for the LACNIC 34 LACNOG 2020 event.
