10 August 2020

Registration is now open to participate in LACNIC 34 - LACNOG 2020, the event that will take place online from 2 to 9 October with the participation of qualified speakers from across the region and the world and a broad offering of training activities and technical workshops.

This time, an extra day has been added to the usual duration of LACNIC - LACNOG events, so the event will begin on Friday 2 October.  In response to the community's desire for top-level training on the most current topics in Internet technology, new tutorials have been incorporated to the meeting.

This event will also coincide with the 10th anniversary of LACNOG, the Latin American and Caribbean Network Operators Forum. Marking this milestone, high-level technical presentations are expected on topics such as success stories in network operation, the Internet of Things, community networks, IPv6 deployment, Internet architecture, value-added services, traffic exchange, and other relevant issues.

Likewise, LACNIC will offer an extensive program of training tutorials on network operation in IPv6, routing security, resource certification, interconnection, network management, ad domain name system security.

The program will also include a panel on the challenges that Internet infrastructure operators have had to face and overcome during the COVID-9 pandemic, as well as a conference during which participants of LACNIC's FRIDA Program will share their experiences.

In addition to the training activities and conferences, participants will also have the chance to join the Public Policy Forum, the space where LACNIC members and other members of our community will discuss the policies that determine how LACNIC manages Internet resources.

Simultaneous transcription and interpretation in Spanish, English and Portuguese will be provided for the LACNIC 34 LACNOG 2020 event.
