ECOMLAC - LACNIC Cooperation Agreement

In October 2003, the Latin America and Caribbean Federation for Internet and Electronic Commerce, ECOM-LAC and LACNIC signed an agreement whereby LACNIC would provide ECOM-LAC the administrative resources needed to manage the funds received by ECOM-LAC, as well as billing, collection and payment procedures.

Thus, LACNIC is supporting the start-up of a new regional organization that has, among other objectives, the aim of promoting the development of Internet and e-commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition, the parties will be able to jointly develop other common interest activities. This agreement is valid for an initial period of one year, and it is automatically renewable.
