The Casa de Internet de Latinoamérica y el Caribe is the home to LACNIC as well as many other Internet organizations in the region. This Latin American and Caribbean home enables synergies which support regional development and promote involvement of a growing number of stakeholders, thus contributing to the provision of more and better services to our community.
About us
LACNIC
The Latin American and Caribbean Internet Address Registry is a not-for-profit organization that seeks to ensure the stability of the Internet in our region and promote its expansion as a tool for social, cultural and productive development on the basis of a neutral, open, transparent and participatory management system.
LACNet
LACNet enables the first multipurpose, production grade, public-permissioned enterprise blockchain network, a result of the alliance between RedCLARA and LACNIC in collaboration with IDB Lab within the framework of the LACChain global alliance.
Internet Society
The Internet Society (regional office for Latin America and the Caribbean) is an international not-for-profit organization founded in 1992 to ensure the development, evolution and open use of the Internet for the benefit of all individuals around the world.
Red CLARA
The Red de Cooperación Latino Americana de Redes Avanzadas (Latin American Advanced Networks Cooperation) has developed and operates the only advanced telecommunications internet network for research, innovation and education in Latin America.
LACTLD
LACTLD is a not-for-profit organization that brings together country code top-level domain administrators in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as administrators in other regions with links on this continent, and coordinates policies and strategies for the development of domain names at the regional level.
ICANN
ICANN was formed in 1998. It is a not-for-profit public-benefit corporation with participants from all over the world dedicated to keeping the Internet secure, stable and interoperable. ICANN coordinates the unique identifiers (names and numbers) across the world. Through its coordination role of the Internet's naming system, it has an important impact on the expansion and evolution of the Internet.
ASIET
ASIET is the Asociación Iberoamericana de Centros de Investigación y Empresas de Telecomunicaciones (Latin American Association of Research Centres and Telecommunications Companies), a private not-for-profit organization created in 1982 and comprising over 50 telecommunication operators in Latin America, including public, private, multinational and local companies. This diversity ensures significant representativeness for the entire industry.
ECOM-LAC
The Federación Latinoamericana y del Caribe de Internet y el Comercio Electrónico (Latin America and Caribbean Federation for Internet and Electronic Commerce) is an organization promoting the development of ICTs and E-commerce in the region.
LAC-IX
LAC-IX is the Latin American and Caribbean Internet Exchange Point Operators Association, an entity created in 2011 to strengthen regional interconnection.
ALAI
ALAI is an international non-profit civil association that seeks to reflect on and develop the Internet in Latin America and the Caribbean. Freedom, education, innovation, entrepreneurship, economic growth, and user empowerment are the core values of our organization.
LAC-ISP
The Federation of Associations and Chambers of Internet Providers of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC-ISP) is a non-profit international civil association based in the Department of Montevideo, Oriental Republic of Uruguay. Among the main objectives of the association are the promotion of the integration of representative organizations of Internet Providers and their partners, promoting exchanges of experiences and knowledge, thus contributing to the development of universal access to the Internet in the Latin American region and Caribbean.
