While the entire event will be held online, in-person participation will also be available for the activities scheduled for 12 and 13 October at the LATU Auditorium in the city of Montevideo

If you will be participating online,  register and select "Remote Participation".

Sessions will be held on the Zoom platform. Simultaneous transcription and interpretation services will be provided in LACNIC's three official languages: Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Note: The language interpretation features of the Zoom meeting application will not be available to participants using Linux Ubuntu, as the platform does not support this operating system. 

To participate, you must have a Zoom account, if you don't have one, you can create it here.

All sessions will also be streamed live on YouTube.

If you decide to watch the sessions via streaming, keep in mind that the audio will be in the language used by each speaker. In addition, you will not have access to a chat feature or a space for interacting with presenters and other participants. 

Currently, Uruguay's borders are closed except to Uruguayan nationals or residents, foreigners legally residing in Uruguay or whose residence permit is being processed, and foreigners who own homes in Uruguay. Exceptionally, nonresident foreigners who can duly justify the reason for their trip and provide the required documentation may also be authorized to enter the country. Participation in the in-person portion of the event will be limited and, given the travel restrictions adopted by the Uruguayan authorities in response to the global health emergency, will be mainly restricted to residents of Uruguay.

Participants attending the LATU Events Center must adhere to the health protocols in force and, along with a valid form of ID, will be required to show one of the following documents at the registration desk:

  • A vaccination certificate proving that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19

  • A certificate of negative PCR or antigen test for COVID-19 issued not more than 72 hours before attending the event

If a person attending the venue does not have a certificate proving they are fully vaccinated, they can schedule a drive-through COVID-19 test (Autotest) at the ATGen lab located within the LATU facilities.http://covid19.atgen.com.uy/agenda#

Health protocols for the LATU facilities:

  • Wearing a face mask will be required to enter the LATU Auditorium and throughout your stay. If you don't have one, the organization will provide you with a face mask.

  • Once inside, your temperature will be taken, and you will be asked to use hand sanitizer (provided by the organization).

During the registration and accreditation process:

  • Should participants need to queue to complete their registration and accreditation process, they will be required to do so maintaining a distance of 1.00 to 1.50 meters.

  • At the registration desk, participants will be asked to present their vaccination certificate or a negative PCR/antigen test result.

  • If the organization does not have your personal data, the staff at the registration desk will ask you to provide this information for traceability purposes, to identify your contacts if necessary.

Inside the conference room

  • Only the seats identified for this purpose may be used.

  • Eating and drinking will not be allowed, as masks will be mandatory while participants are in the room.

During coffee and lunch breaks

  • Coffee break refreshments and lunches will be offered during the event. These will be individually packed, and participants must pick up their own food and beverages.

  • The organization will provide furniture that follows the protocols in force. Each participant must choose a place at the tables in the lobby. Only then will they be allowed to remove their face mask.
