Ernesto is Staff Datacenter Network Engineer at LinkedIn’s office in the heart of the Silicon Valley where he enjoys building and operating large scale networks and services. For the last few years he had the opportunity to work with some of largest and innovative network operators in the San Francisco Bay area, building infrastructure at scale at LinkedIn, Facebook and Cisco. In the years prior to this, he worked as a Solutions Architect and Engineer for telcos, service providers and consulting companies in Washington DC and Dominican Republic. His interest in this field started around the time he tried to connect a Debian Woody machine to the dialup network and now he has been involved for 14 years in this field.
