Friday October 7, 14:00 - 18:00
The purpose of this session is to discuss Internet operation in Bolivia, the challenges faced in the country, and potential solutions based on the incorporation of best practices and standards. It is especially recommended for network operators in their broader definition: Internet service providers, content providers, universities, academic networks, government networks, and other companies operating networks or that are part of the Bolivia Internet ecosystem.
While the agenda is open and can be modified based on participants’ needs or proposals, some of the topics to be discussed include:
- Problems that affect network operation and obstacles to Internet development in Bolivia
- Analysis of local interconnection among operators in Bolivia and the country’s major cities
- IPv6 deployment: barriers and challenges
- Routing security: incidents, issues detected, and recommended best practices
The expected outcome of this meeting is to identify a set of actions to be carried out and relevant community actors who can contribute to this process.
