The FRIDA Program opens its 2025 call for proposals to fund projects, solutions and initiatives for Internet development and strengthening

The Regional Fund for Digital Innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean (FRIDA), announces the opening of the 2025 call for proposals to provide funding to projects, initiatives, and solutions that contribute to the consolidation of a global, open, stable, and secure Internet.
On this occasion, the call will include the following categories: (1) Internet Stability and Security, and its subcategory focused on the use and application of Blockchain; (2) Connectivity and Internet Access; (3) Open and Free Internet and (4) Artificial Intelligence applied to the Internet and Networks.
Interested applicants may apply under two modalities:
- Grants: aimed at providing non-reimbursable financial support up to USD 20.000, along with technical assistance to projects, initiatives or solutions with a maximum duration of 12 months.
- Award: consists of a distinction accompanied by economic recognition of USD 5.000. This last category highlights projects, initiatives or solutions that present concrete evidence of impact.
Those projects that are not selected will be able to access the non-financial technical support line, which provides assistance in areas such as the development of alliances, access to knowledge and capacity building, feedback and advice, among others.
