Alejandro Guzmán

LACNIC

Alejandro Guzmán is currently LACNIC'S Board of Directors President, and Interconnection and Content Distribution Manager for Latin-America at Google. He heads the department in charge of planning, negotiating and managing projects related to infrastructure development for content distribution in the regions for which he is responsible, including Latin America and the Caribbean.

He served on the boards of NAO Colombia and NAP Inca, Peru. He was also part of the first board of directors of the Latin American and Caribbean Network Operators Group (LACNOG) and of the Latin American Association of Internet Exchange Point Operators (LAC-IX).

He has a degree in Electronic Engineering and a specialization in Telecommunications by Pontificia Universidad Bolivariana. He also completed the Corporate Governance program at Kellogg Northwestern University. He specialized in Project Management at Universidad Católica del Norte and in Marketing Management at the University of Medellín. He also holds diplomas in finance, strategic negotiation and product development.

Alejandro Guzmán has also taught at graduate and post-graduate level at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, the University of Antioquía, and the University of Medelín, among other institutions.
