LACNIC 35, Call for Technical Presentations

March 3, 2021

LACNIC has opened a call for presentations for the LACNIC Technical Forum (LTF) that will take place during the LACNIC 35 event which will be held online from 10 to 14 May.

The Technical Forum is a space included in LACNIC's annual events where participants share experiences, work and initiatives related to various technical aspects that have to do with Internet development in the region of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Seeking to enrich the experience and ensure the growth of this space, LACNIC has completed a review and update of the FTL that includes changes to the presentation selection mechanism and the work of the Program Committee.

In this sense, the Program Committee will now have a more executive role and will annually summon a pool of experts in various technical fields for the purpose of evaluating the proposals that are received.

The restructuring of the FTL aims to add to its agenda new talents and special guests who will present on new topics related to Internet development.

The 2021 call for proposals will remain open until 4 April. Proposals may address topics related to the operation of IP networks, IPv6 deployment, improvements to routing, the Domain Name System (DNS), interconnection of Autonomous Systems, attack mitigation and the development of security systems, Internet measurements, tools and analyses of protocols and the Internet in general, among others.
