Members of the Address Supporting Organization Address Council (ASO AC) and the IANA Review Committee (IANA RC) for 2021

Last year, two calls for candidates were issued to fill two different positions in representation of the LACNIC community.

The results for each position are reported below.

Address Council (ASO AC)

During its meeting held on 22 October 2020, the Board of Directors ratified the appointment of Jorge Daniel Villa Hernandez, the only candidate standing for election for a position on the ASO AC.

His term will begin on 1st January 2021 and will end on 31st December 2023.

The ASO Address Council is made up by three representatives of each Regional Registry and is responsible for overseeing and developing recommendations on IP addressing policies and advising the ICANN Board on these topics. Another major role is the appointment of two members to the ICANN Board.

Review Committee

During its meeting held on 22 October 2020, the Board of Directors ratified the appointment of Sergio Rojas, the only candidate standing for election for a position on the Review Committee. His term will begin on 1st January 2021 and will end on 31st December 2022.

According to the provisions of the Service Level Agreement for the IANA Numbering Services (NRO SLA), the Review Committee must be made up by three representatives of each RIR.

The functions of the Review Committee (RC) include advising and assisting the NRO EC in its periodic review of the service level of the IANA Numbering Services provided to the Internet Number Community.
