Ariel Weher is a self-taught technology and telecommunications enthusiast. He is currently serving on the LACNOG Board and Chair of the Best Current Operational Practices Task Force (BCOP).
Ariel has earned international professional level certifications, has been an Open Source systems user and evangelist for 20 years, and tries to keep up to date with the latest in new technologies and protocols.
He lives in Argentina, where he works as senior networking and systems administrator. In addition, he provides consultancy services to several companies in different Latin American and Caribbean markets.
Ariel has presented at different events organized by various institutions, including network learning centers, universities, multinationals, Internet exchange points and non-profit organizations, always seeking to actively promote the development of a secure, well-performing and neutral network.
