After reviewing and discussing the proposal submitted regarding the number of votes for members in a special membership situation, the Board of Directors unanimously decided as follows (approval by a special majority was required): Organizations benefiting from discounts or a waiver of their initial or renewal fees: a) discount program for End Users and b) waiver in the case of IPv6; as decided by the Member Assembly, the number of votes of such organizations shall be determined based on the (initial or renewal) fee which they actually pay, not those corresponding to the space managed by the member and assigned by LACNIC. In the event that an organization (either because of expressly waiving those benefits of their own accord or as the result of a Member Assembly resolution) proceeds to pay the fees corresponding to the assigned space without taking advantage of the aforementioned benefits, at the Member Assembly such organization shall have the number of votes corresponding to the amount of space assigned and managed by LACNIC.
