Ratification of the Policies Resultant from the Open Policy Meeting LACNIC IV
During its session of May 8th, LACNIC Board of Directors ratified the policies recommended by the Open Policy Meeting that took place in Santiago de Chile on April 25, 2003 during LACNIC IV.

The ratified policies are:
  1. IPv6 Micro allocations.
  2. IPv4 Micro-Allocations for Multi-Homed End Users
  3. Bulk Whois distribution copies.
The Board of Directors commended to LACNIC´s staff the immediate implementation of the first two policies and its putting into effect starting on Monday, May 19. Likewise, the Board requested to the staff the implementation of the approved policy about Bulk Whois copies distribution within a maximum period of three months.

Details and dates of implementation about the above mentioned policy will be properly announced.
