Curaçao is the largest of the Netherlands Antilles. The island is located in the southern Caribbean sea, approximately 50 km off the west coast of Venezuela. It is well known for its multicolored liqueurs, particularly the Curaçao liqueur, which is flavored with the dried peel of the laraha citrus fruit, grown on the island. It is a rocky island with little agricultural activity. Its main industries are oil refining and tourism.
