LACNIC Open Policy Forum

The Process of Policies Development is a fundamental component of the operation of the Regional Internet Registries (RIR). It is through this process that the RIR establish in an open and participating process  the policies (rules) that will have to apply in their region in relation to the administration of Internet resources.

In particular,  the Public Policies Forum is the place where the agreements in relation to the Internet numeration resource allocation criteria for the region (policies) are discussed and signed.  Additionally it is an interactive space where presentations of activities reports  of the system of Internet registry at regional and global level are made and where important technical topics for the regional community are discussed. The Forum is open to public participation.
