Interconnection Schemes and Strategies for ISPs Tutorial

The tutorial covered the different IP network interconnection schemes and their benefits to the different stakeholders (connectivity providers, content providers and end users). The traffic model was discussed, as well as different peering models (private, public, bilateral or multilateral, paid peering). Different statistics and studies relevant for the analysis of traffic exchange agreements was presented, as well existing indicators, relevant meetings and different strategies that might be followed. Finally, examples of decision making on the part of an operator was presented.

The Workshop's objective was to introduce relevant information when taking connectivity decisions for service providers and enterprises.
