From October 26 to October 28, 2004, LACNIC VII was held at the Hotel Barceló San José Palacio, San Jose, Costa Rica. The event was hosted by the ITS Learning Center.
The event was attended by a total of 114 persons, from 12 different economies from the region covered by LACNIC. Among the participants were representatives of the government of Costa Rica, European speakers, as well as representatives from the other Regional Internet Registries.
Main Activities
ithin the framework of LACNIC VII, the following events took place: three technical interest tutorials, the second Latin American IPv6 Forum (Flip-6), a meeting of the IPv6 Task Force for Latin America and the Caribbean, the Public Policy Forum and a Round Table on Spam with the participation of representatives from the region's ISPs, lawyers and technicians specializing in this area.
