The LACNIC's Annual Members Assembly held on May 28th 2009 approved fee waivers for IPv6 until July 1st, 2012 as a way to support the adoption of this protocol. Therefore, the amount of IPv6 addresses were not taken into account until that date to determine the category.

In 2012, during LACNIC's Annual Members Assembly held within LACNIC 17, an extension of the term discussed in 2009 was approved. The new term was July 1st, 2013 and it is now about to expire. Don't miss this opportunity and make your request TODAY!
