LACNIC Sessions and Virtual Clinic on IPv6

On 2-3 October, the Secretariat of the Inter-American Telecommunications Commission (CITEL) of the Organization of American States (OAS) organized a webinar titled "LACNIC Sessions and Virtual Clinic on IPv6," presented both in Spanish and English and aimed at Member States and Associate Members of Permanent Consultative Committee II.

More than 180 attendees participated in this activity, which took advantage of LACNIC's WebEx online conferencing platform. This platform allows holding remote meetings including video and audio-conferencing, sharing applications, questionnaires and statistics, recording sessions and built-in instant messaging.

The goals of the virtual clinic included disseminating IPv6 and encouraging its deployment and utilization, as well as providing information on strategies for transitioning to the new protocol and the current status of IPv6 deployment within the region and throughout the world.

Certificates of participation were issued.
