Changes to LACNIC's Organizational Structure

Seeking to satisfy the expectations of its customers and those of the regional Internet community, the Internet Address Registry for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACNIC) has modified its organizational structure to meet the challenges of the coming years.

Ernesto Majó, formerly Communications and External Relations Manager, has been appointed as the organization's Deputy CEO and will support cross-coordination among LACNIC's various departments.

LACNIC's customer services structure is now handled through the Services Department, which will be managed by Alfredo Verderosa, who was selected after a rigorous selection process.

Likewise, the Communications and External Relations department has been divided into three areas (Communications, Development and Cooperation, and Strategic Relations) for the purpose of highlighting the relevance of these areas in LACNIC's operations and strategic plan.

Maria Gayo, who was already responsible for communications, will now serve as Communications Manager, while Community Development, Development and Cooperation Projects, Policy Development, and External Training will report to Laura Kaplán, the organization's new Development and Cooperation Manager.

LACNIC seeks to serve its community and is thus in constant search for innovation, while upholding the values that have driven the organization over the past 13 years. While we are sure this new structure will allow us to meet current challenges, we will continue to strive to be flexible and meet any new challenges the future may bring.
